Oreo Brownies

I did a fun project, that I've been wanting to do for quite a while, today.  It was very satisfying to see my idea come to life, but you'll have to wait til tomorrow for the big reveal, because I need hubby's help with the final detail, and he is at baseball practice with the boys.  Oh, well.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share this YUM-O recipe with you that was a BIG HIT with my family.  And, it's super-easy, too...the best part!!

Oreo Brownies.  Yes, you heard me right...doesn't it just make your chocolate-loving mouth water?  Here's what you'll need (in addition to the eggs, oil and water that the brownie mix calls for).

All you do is mix up some brownie mix (I use a box mix, cuz that's how I roll) and dip your Oreo in to fully cover it.  Use your favorite variety of Oreos...I opted for Double Stuffs, and of course, (since I have an obsession with chocolate and mint) the Mint Oreos.  Plop the drippy mess into a cupcake paper or tin, whichever you prefer.  (I recommend using a paper, or doing some serious spraying as they can have a tendency to stick, and don't over-bake, or the papers become permanently fused to the brownie.  My kids were so desperate to consume every last one that they ate the bits of paper they couldn't get off, and they didn't give a hoot!)  Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes or so.

You can top with some cookie icing if you like, or, if like the people around here, you can't possibly wait to gobble one up, you can just as easily forgo the icing too!

YUM!!  I definitely know what I'll be taking every time I have to provide a snack, or donate baked goods for an event!
