right to homeschool in question

You may or may not be aware that there is quite a stir going on due to the "February 28 decision of the California Court of Appeal which effectively ruled that homeschooling is illegal in California unless conducted by a credentialed teacher and that parents have no constitutional right to homeschool."

It's something that I've been keeping an eye on, because it obviously interests me as a homeschooling parent. Of course, the Homeschool Legal Defense Association is right on top of this, and there is a petition that you can sign on their website in support of parents' rights to educate their children.
You do not have to be a home schooling family and you do not have to be a member of HSLDA in order to sign the petition. (You also do not have to live in the State of California). They are recommending all individuals concerned with freedoms being taken away to sign this. I would strongly encourage you to click the link below to sign this petition. Also, if you are interested in reading more about what's going on, click here (HSLDA) or here
(Fox News). (If you are interested in more links, just leave a comment asking and I'll direct you to some others I've found, but didn't have the time to post all of the links).

Thanks for the heads up. I'm currently home schooling my kindergartener, and we take it year by year to determine what God wants for the rest of them as we go along. I had no idea that this issue had gotten this far along!

Love your blog. Will be back to browse again!
