OK, Sorry I've been so delayed in posting my 'truths'. Yesterday was my daughter's homeschool evaluation, which is a pretty big deal, and then she had a garden party planned for today (pics of that coming soon!!) so we went directly into preparing for that. Anyway, I have a minute as they are currently sipping their tea, so here ya go!!
1. When I was 4 my elbow was dislocated for an entire weekend.
Totally true...I was taken to the emergency room and for some (still) unknown reason, they just put me in a sling and told my mom to take me to the family dr on Monday morning. Talk about cruel...
3. In junior high I won 2nd place in a district-wide sewing contest sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary.
Yep, believe it or not, I at one time sewed, and actually did it fairly well. (My daughter begs me to sew with her now, but I don't have the time or patience, or remember a lick of how to do anything, including thread the machine!!) I won the award because of my wonderful completely invisible hem.
8. I love very small, enclosed spaces...I think it would be enjoyable to have an MRI.
Absolutely TRUE!!! The snugger I am, the better. I love small cars, sleeping bags & elevators. It makes me feel safe. This may have something to do with the fact that I was born 4 weeks past my due date, I don't know...maybe that's why I was so late! I love being cozy!
As for the rest of the lies...
I was never in gymnastics - I'm barely coordinated enough to walk, let alone flip or balance!!! I totally HATE mushrooms, and I passed both my permit & driver's tests the first time. My wedding conjures mixed emotions for me...love my husband and he's my best friend, and I'd marry him again in an instant, but I hated my wedding dress (still mourning that loss...but that's another whole story) and my flowers on the candelabra up front caught on fire (they were quickly put out, and not many people noticed, but still...). I do play the piano, and love it, but only started playing after I was married.
Well, I think that's all I have to come clean about! Thanks to all of you who played along!!
