cheesy bacon bites

I haven't posted a recipe for a while, and thought, after once again, having rave reviews on this one that I made last night, that it would be a good one to share. It's an old Pampered Chef recipe, it's SUPER easy and make wonderful little appetizers. They impressive enough to make for company, but are easy enough to make up on a whim just for family movie (or game) night. So, here ya go! Enjoy! (Sorry, I didn't think to take a picture.)

Cheesy Bacon Bites

4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Real Bacon Pieces
2 tablespoons chopped onions
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (8 ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 350° F.
Combine cream cheese, bacon, onion and pepper in a Batter Bowl.
Separate crescent rolls into rectangles.
Pinch seams together. Spread cheese mixture on each rectangle.
Roll up, starting at longest side, and seal.
Cut each roll into 16 slices.
Place slices cut side down, on flat baking stone or cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
Yields: 32 appetizers
**Real Bacon Pieces can be found in the Salad & Dressing Section of most grocery stores.
