cake cookies

We had dinner with friends the other night and she had some really yummy cookies for dessert that I just had to try making. And I did...last night for the Superbowl party. Talk about easy-peasy!!! They are called cake mix cookies and here's the how-to (a.k.a. "recipe").
1 package of cake mix (any flavor)
1 large egg
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of water
1 cup of chopped nuts, raisins, oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chips, M&M'S® etc. (anything you like in cookies)

Preheat oven to 350°F

Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water. Beat until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredient (s).

Drop by teaspoon about 1 inch apart onto greased cooke sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes or until done.

Makes about 4 dozen.

I omitted the 'extras' (nuts, M&M's, etc.) and topped them with icing and colored sprinkles. I wanted to make yellow with choc icing, since that's my favorite kind of cake, but I was all out, so I made devil's food with some cream cheese icing from a mix I had. They were tasty, but I'm still anxious to try the yellow w/choc...maybe for our Valentine party!
