As you can see, I've made some changes to my blog. I determined that, while I don't like serious life changes, like moving or relationship changes, when it comes to visual things - like blogs, furniture and decor, etc., I need LOTS of changes!! And thanks to some fellow bloggers I've now got some super-easy ways to keep things here at 'crocuses' fresh and visually stimulating!
As far as my posting goes, I was sort of lagging in that department by the end of last year. But now that we've got a pretty good rhythm going with school, I'm hoping to be able to return to my hobby of sharing my thoughts with whoever will take a minute to read them!
Last year I started doing 'Thankful Thursdays', and though I often missed it (it's hard for me to remember what day it is, okay?), I like having a theme running somewhat consistently throughout. So this year, for something different, and to challenge myself in an area that would be stretching for me, I'm going to be doing posts entitled "Keepin' It Real" where I make confessions to you about something 'real' in my life. I know that confession is good for the soul, and I also know that things that are hidden lose their hold when they are brought to light, so I figure, why not? I also know that I tend to read the blogs of others and think how they must have it so 'all together', but I feel soooo much better when they share their own shortcomings, not because misery loves company or anything, but because things become less intimidating - people come down off the pedestals - and we can all be more real, knowing that everybody struggles with something, and none of us is any better than anyone else. We're all just living each day by the grace of God.
So watch for those somewhat regular "Keepin' It Real" posts to be starting...and go easy on me - okay? :)
